In 2025, with the support of Giving Asha, Sarathi Nepal established Library Corners in 5
Government and Community Schools in Lalitpur Metropolitan City. The project aimed to enhance the
reading and learning environment for children by providing dedicated spaces for books and
learning resources within the schools.
The project involved setting up library corners in five selected schools, with each school
receiving a book rack filled with at least 55 books. The selection of the schools was suggested
by the Lalitpur Metropolitan City, Education Department. This project sought to promote reading
habits among students, fostering a love for learning and providing them with essential resources
to support to improve their educational experience. The efforts were carried out in
collaboration with local education authorities, vendors, and the donor organisation, culminating
in the official handover of the library corners to the schools. book racks and children's books
were handed over to five government schools in Lalitpur. The children’s excitement for the books
was heartwarming, and while the handover was brief, Sarathi Nepal looks forward to future
engagement through storytelling and other activities to inspire a love for reading.
