Rupesh Shrestha is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience in the technology and telecommunications sector. He is the Owner and Managing Director of Kalash Services Pvt. Ltd. and has been actively involved in numerous local and international community initiatives through various groups, forums, and non-profit organizations. Rupesh currently serves as the Chair of the South Asian Network Operations Group (SANOG) and is a Board and Managing Director at Internet Exchange Nepal (NPIX). He is also a member of the Asia Pacific Network Operators Group (APNOG), chairs the fellowship committee of APRICOT Events, and advises both NPNOG and the Nepal Internet Foundation. Additionally, he was appointed as a board member (2024–2027) of Dot Asia Organization Limited in Hong Kong. An engineering graduate with an MBA, he began his career as a telecom engineer at Nepal Telecom. In 2010, he founded the ISPs Infocom and LinkTree. He has also served as CTO and finance head for a Canadian-Filipino company in the Philippines and worked as a consultant on projects under TCIL and the Asian Development Bank.
